SHOPSHARI

I’m the owner and designer a Trinbagonian fashion brand, SHOPSHARI. In 2014,I decided to purchase a sewing machine only to discover that I loved working with prints mixed in many different ways. After working with various design studios, agencies and departments, I decided to devote more time to my self-made brand.

SHOPSHARI is a fashion brand inspired by print as imaginative, colourful, and diverse as the cultural landscape from which it emerges. The essence of the brand reflects the beauty and creativity of our people through the use of bold colours, prints, and, specifically, the combination of a variety of prints that mirrors our cosmopolitan mix. Throughout our five year span, I’ve had the opportunity to take Trinidad and Tobago’s fashion and culture with me to Jamaica, New York and London several times.

In addition to our website, shopshari.com, maintaining a steady appearance at pop-up shops and other retail collaborations throughout Trinidad and Tobago, I was able to land the opportunity of having the SHOPSHARI brand sold at Soboye, Shoreditch and Diverse Gifts, Brixton in the UK. SHOPSHARI also had the pleasure of participating in the Jamaican pop-up, MoDA Market in 2016 and 2017, and conducted two independent pop-up shops in London: the Caribbean Pop Up at Whitechapel in September 2016, and at Notting Hill and Bloomsbury in 2018. The latter event birthed a collaboration with Notting Hill Carnival band, Frolic Nation.
